Why does the cookie scan report show “Action required”?

After each scan, CookieHub sends an email with a detailed report. If the report includes an “Action required” message, it means the scan found issues that need to be resolved.

Common reasons for “Action required”

  • Uncategorized cookies

    Cookies that are not in the CookieHub database are placed in the Uncategorized category. To fix this:

    1. Log in to the CookieHub dashboard
    2. Open your domain and go to Cookies
    3. Click Edit for each uncategorized cookie and assign it to the correct category

      Consent required

      This appears when cookies are being set without requiring user consent. In the report, check the “Consent required” flag:

    • If set to Yes, the service is correctly configured
    • If set to No for Analytics, Marketing, or Uncategorized cookies, it means they load even when consent is denied
