Linker

The Linker feature allows CookieHub to forward user consent preferences across different top-level domains. This prevents users from seeing multiple consent dialogs when navigating between domains or after a domain name change.

How it works

The feature intercepts link clicks and adds a query string parameter to the destination URL. When the user lands on the new domain, CookieHub reads the parameter and applies the previously given consent.

This ensures that:

• Users are not asked to provide consent again on a different domain
• The browsing experience remains seamless and compliant

• Websites operating across multiple domains
• Businesses migrating to a new domain name

Important note

As of CookieHub version 2.6.2, the Linker feature only forwards consent if all categories were accepted.
