Europe-only data storage option

Some businesses require data to remain within the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) due to legal, regulatory, or internal policy requirements. To meet these needs, CookieHub offers a Europe-only data storage option, ensuring that all consent-related data is processed and stored exclusively within the EU/EEA.

How it works

When you select this option, CookieHub stores all consent data, including consent logs, in secure data centers within the EU/EEA. This helps ensure compliance with regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which places strict controls on cross-border data transfers.

Key features

  • EU/EEA data residency: All consent data remains within EU/EEA data centers.
  • EU-based service providers: We use Scaleway SAS and BunnyWay d.o.o., with data centers located in the Netherlands and France.
  • No data transfer outside the EU/EEA: Your data will not be processed by any infrastructure outside the EU/EEA.

How to enable Europe-only storage

  1. Log in to your CookieHub dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Navigate to the Data Storage section.
  4. Select the Europe-only storage option.

Note: Once enabled, all future consent data will be stored in EU/EEA data centers. Existing data stored outside the EU will not be moved automatically, so enable this early if data residency is a priority.
